Happy Mother’s Day and Some Fresh Flowers

Rather than let the weekend go by and still no post from me, I’m teasing you with a few images from what I hope will be a garden slideshow next week.

Meanwhile, wishing you and yours a very Happy Mother’s Day, be you a mother to a child, a fur kid, fish or fowl! Have a lovely day.

  1. Happy mothers day for you too. What a beautiful garden, love the white flowers they deliver calmness in the minds and souls. Thanks for the beautiful post, have a nice day. 🙂

  2. Teasing is putting it mildly! Those are spectacular blooms Betsy, thank you for sharing them. I adore the snow balls but have always been afraid of them since the bees love them even more. The dogwood doesn’t flower like that up here, or maybe it’s something else under the same name. Happy spring. Sadly it’s cold again here and I’m hoping the blooms don’t fall off frozen (yes, there is threat of snow flurries in cottage country!)
    Happy Mother’s Day to all!

    • Thank you, Eva. I think dogwoods are native to the middle and southern U.S., actually. The double blossomed one is quite rare, and while we have tons of the regular dogwoods in our yard and around the area, that garden tour was the first time I’d seen a double one. May spring be with you very soon!

  3. Fantastic flowers Betsy – I sent some to my mother some time ago as Mother’s Day in England was in… er… March I think. I wish the world would decide on one single date! I once called my mother on (French) Mother’s Day to wish her the best only to be told that I was two months late… sigh 😦

    • You know, I didn’t realize that Mother’s Day was on different days around the world. They (whoever that may be) need to fix that! 🙂 I’ll bet your mom is always happy to hear from you, and I’ll bet this Mother’s Day was extra special…or will be whenever it is….at your house this year! 🙂

    • BAM, I’m so sorry to hear that your health is not good and hope you are feeling better now. I should apologize to you because I haven’t been stopping by as much either. Been on deadlines, then out of town and now have a nasty cold virus. I hope you have a super and healthy week, too! Thanks for coming by and for your sweet comment. ~Betsy
