I’ve been cooking, I’ve been hiking, I’ve been working…a lot, I’ve been making clay pots, and I’ve been traveling some. And then suddenly, it’s NOVEMBER!!!
Here’s what’s been going on (click the red links for more info and recipes:
There was a batch Ina Garten’s fantastic Ribolitta pictured above, to warm up the cold evenings.
There was a lovely hike to Raven Cliffs Falls in the North GA mountains. Spectacular leaves that weekend.
There was some Spooktacular Beef and Italian Sausage Chili made for Halloween!
And Punkitties were carved for the big event!
There was a lovely gathering of cousins in town that called for an early batch of my most favorite gratin and holiday potato dish, Potato and Fennel Gratin. It takes a little effort, but the flavor is show stopping.
And this week I’ve been carving some clay pots for a friend’s new lifestyle website…more on that later.
And then there was work…happily lots and lots of it! So that’s what I’ve been up to. How about you? Are you having a fun autumn so far? Happy Weekend!
Great Jack O’Lanterns!

Thank you so much, Norma. I love carving the punkitties each year. Yes, I will elaborate more in my next post about the pots. The site is now up, but I’ve been on the road for the last week and am now once again in the midst of very rushed deadlines with work, so hope to get that up maybe next week. I’ll take the work when it comes, happily! 🙂

Thanks so much, Sharyn. I love carving clay, it’s really fun. I feel the same way about potatoes and fennel…a terrific combo. Hope you are well. I’ve been traveling and haven’t been able to get around to read everyone’s latest posts. Will try and remedy that this weekend. 🙂

Thank you for your kind words, John. I will post more on the pots and a link in my next post. I’ve been on the road traveling since November 8 and just returned, so the crazy/busy-ness continues. Never enough time in the day. 🙂
