Raindog

This recipe is from the post: Rain Delays and Raindogs

Serves 2

2 – 4-inch branches of fresh rosemary, medium thickness
6 – stuffed green olives, we used a mix of garlic stuffed and red pepper stuffed from the olive bar at the grocery
3 – ounces Plymouth* gin
1 – ounce  Extra Dry vermouth, such as Martini and Rossi
1 – Toothpick

Use the toothpick to make a hole all the way through each olive, piercing it so that the olive will be horizontal on the skewer, then thread three olives per rosemary branch, alternating the garlic stuffed with the pepper stuffed. Place one skewer in each of two martini glasses.

Using a cocktail shaker fitted with a strainer and top, add crushed ice until it is filled up halfway. Pour in the gin and vermouth, cover and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. Strain the mixture evenly into the two glasses and serve. Chases away the rain every time.

*Use only Plymouth for this recipe because the London gins are too strong in flavor to properly infuse the other ingredients.
