King of the Smoothie

A Pineapple-Orange-Banana Smoothie made by the King.

My husband is usually the grill master and sous chef around here, but in addition to that he does make some mean breakfast items on his own, and amongst the best of the best are his smoothies. There’s been a strawberry-banana-orange, a blueberry-orange with cinnamon, and a peach with cinnamon, just to name a few. But he’s outdone himself with the latest one: Pineapple-Orange-Banana. All hail to the King of Smoothies!

Pineapple-Orange-Banana Smoothies for 2

1 1/2 cups orange juice
1 peeled banana
1 generous cup of large pineapple chunks, peeled and cored, of course!
1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 Tablespoon honey
1/3 blender full of ice cubes

To the ice cubes in the blender, add the remaining ingredients. Cover the top of the blender and pulse/blend to break up the chunks, then puree for 20 seconds or until smooth and creamy, depending on your blender. Pour into two tumblers (we use Tervis because they are fun) and serve with a straw.

Even though summer is officially over, you can still enjoy smoothies!
